Surgical Impotency Treatments
A variety of surgical impotency treatments are sought by men. These are usually meant to help a man get an erection.
Types of Surgeries
There are three main types of surgeries that a man may choose to receive. You can view a complete rundown of these two categories below.
Implant-A small reservoir implanted in the abdomen and a small pump implanted in the scrotum in order to produce an erection. Sterile liquid is sent from the reservoir into the tubes when the pump in the scrotum is squeezed. These tubes function like erectile tissue and this is how an erection can be achieved.
The main disadvantage of this artificial erection system is that the inflatable prothesis is hard to conceal under certain types of clothing. There are a few different versions of this kind of impotency treatment such as the one that is made of two soft silicone or bioflex (plastic) tubes. Another is the silicon-covered flexible metal rod.
Grafting and Transfer-This is a general category of penile surgeries. Sometimes certain tissue grafting methods are used to help enlarge or widen a man’s endowment. Examples of such include the Free Fat Transfer also known as “lipo sculpture” which helps beef up a man’s member using fatty tissue from his own body. A variety of other tissue grafting procedures are also used.
Lengthening-The penis is made longer by cutting and releasing the ligaments that attach the penis to the pelvis. This may be completed on a man perhaps six months before or six months after he has received a tissue grafting procedure.
More specific descriptions of above mentioned surgeries may be provided to you at a later date. However, for now you can be assured that said types of surgeries are the three main categories of treatment made available to a man.
Risks and Warnings
Penis enlargement surgeries are strongly discouraged for men whose penis is currently functioning properly. As far as the average penis size is concerned, a majority of men having penis enlargement surgery completely overestimated the measurement of such.
Others include infections, loss of sensation and function as well as a permanently curved penis. Scarring and could also occur. The potential for infections and loss of tissue is also possible in the aftermath of surgery.
Still, in spite of these warnings and risks some men still consider penis enlargement surgeries or implant a viable way to treat impotency. It may work for some men while not so well for others.
You should really figure out what would work best for you. The best way to do this is to ask your doctor.
